Suweetha Astorga

I believe that all of us can get to where we want to be when we are met with compassion and acceptance. I am a Registered Psychotherapist and I work from a relational and attachment-focused approach that focuses on healing through connection.

My areas of focus include neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism), trauma and PTSD, identity exploration (including difficulties facing BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ folx), anxiety, body-focused repetitive behaviours, depression, and attachment and relationship concerns.

I primarily utilize relational psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment, cognitive behavioural, and somatic therapies. I work from a culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, neurodivergent-affirming, and trauma informed approach.

I offer in-person, virtual, and phone sessions. I work with residents in Ontario, Canada.

No one promised that things would be easy, but we don't always imagine that things could feel this hard. Life is difficult, especially when we feel like we're going through it alone. We may feel stuck, isolated, unworthy of love, or overcome by sadness, grief, or painful memories. We all get to a point when we feel this way, but it doesn't mean that we must continue to fight these feelings on our own. You deserve to get to a place where you can live a rich and meaningful life.

It's not easy to reach out for support when you need it and there may be a part of you that wonders if you're even ready for therapy. That's okay and that's completely normal. We'll work through this together and figure out a journey and a pace that makes sense for you.

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.
